World of Warcraft (Jorah/Merrick)

I created this paired NPC set as a spec quest for an MMO in the spirit of World of Warcraft to demonstrate story-first systems thinking. Jorah is a soft-spoken dwarf miner who doesn’t realize he’s a ghost. Merrick is a Twilight’s Hammer saboteur and provides the counterweight as a motivated antagonist whose ritual uses bound souls to keep a fel focus open. [Read Here]

Martha’s Vineyard (Fallout 4)

This is a creative brief written for The Narrative Department’s Game Writing Masterclass where I was tasked with adding a NPC, enemy, or POI to the game. I chose Martha’s Vineyard because it’s a recognizable location that could be reinterpreted through Fallout 4’s lens of post-apocalyptic irony. [Read Here]

Game Pitch: Canine Conquest

For a writing exercise completed during TND’s Game Writing Masterclass I was assigned five random gameplay actions from a pool of twenty-five and then tasked with building a game pitch based on at least 3 of the actions. Written for TND’s Game Writing Masterclass, GODS AND SHADOWS is a meta-commentary game proof of concept where iconic video game characters have retired from their legendary “careers” of violence, espionage, and adventure. {Read Here]

Fight Scene: SPLENDOR VS SILENTIUM

This scene was written as a fight sequence for a writing test featuring two previously established (in-house) characters whose history and philosophies collide inside a ruined cathedral. It’s structured like a late-game boss encounter, with cinematic beats that bracket three escalating gameplay phases. The piece balances spectacle with character voice. [Read Here]
